The Bit Players are a fast paced and energized group of improvisation master-minds. Their high energy LIVE shows are modeled after the hit TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?". Coming to town for a special event or celebration? Let us know before you get to the theater and we will pull your guest(s) of honor on stage and do something extra special for them. Popular with bachelorettes, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, we have even had a couple proposals on our stage!​ We try to celebrate everyone but make no guarantees.

"While celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday in Newport 11 family members went to see the show. It was great!! So many laughs my sides hurt at the end. They called my husband up on stage, with prior permission from me, and turned it into a funny skit/songs about him. The group works so well together and feed off of each other to make a really enjoyable show. I didn’t want it to end. The tickets are inexpensive and the BYOB policy make for a great night out with family and friends for any occasion. I highly recommend it!!"

"Even though we've been coming to Newport since 2007 we finally made it to a performance by the Bit Players. We so wish we had visited sooner. The show was hilarious. We've been to an improv show in Hartford and they can't hold a candle to the Bit Players. We've also been to Second City in Chicago and laughed more here in Newport. Saturday night may have been our first visit but it certainly won't be our last.​"

Every show is different and you can participate as little or as lot as you like...go with a group of friends and you will not regret it. Actors are more than talented, they're experts in their field. You wont just laugh, you'll wet yourself! Best thing I did ALL summer!!!​"
